Pacific College Student Councils
DEDICATED TO FOSTERING A NURTURING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS
The Pacific College of Health and Science Student Councils serving the New York, Chicago, and San Diego campuses are dedicated to cultivating a community of support and inclusion for their respective student bodies. Each Student Council has their own priorities and responsibilities, such as: creating and funding student clubs; serving as the liaison between students and staff; managing the student lounge; attracting new patients to the on-campus clinic; planning social events; hosting practice labs; and much more. A recent priority for the Chicago Student Council President, Gabrielle Fairfax, is to “collaborate with our on-campus Herb Club and create more clubs such as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and Veterans Club to promote pride in our diverse stories and backgrounds.” Student Council also serves “as a platform for student leaders to further develop their leadership, professional, and organizational skills,” says Bonnie Love, San Diego member. Pacific College is proud to see the Student Council members thrive in their leadership roles, while actively enriching students’ educational, professional, and social lives.

Chicago Clubs
Mission:
Herb Club is a space for students to casually come together and form relationships with each other as well as the plants and animals we are studying. Our goal is to help students retain information by creating fun and interesting extracurricular activities that involve all five senses. We believe that an enriched memory palace is a key aspect to a successful practice.

Mission:
BIPOC Club is a collective of individuals with diverse backgrounds coming together to provide support, education, resources, and allyship through creative and inclusive perspectives on life (on and off campus), medicine, business, and healing.
This group serves to provide a platform of expression and community to those who are often overlooked, forgotten, and discredited, while welcoming allies who wish to learn and expand outside of their societal boxes.

Mission:
LGBTQIA Club is an organization built on respect, love, and acceptance of the human experience and the various ways we show up in our healing practices. We pride ourselves on providing a listening ear to our members, leading thought provoking discussions, and sharing and conducting various educational and research initiatives to include those who are often excluded in the world of medicine.
We are here to do the work that will initiate change, inclusion, and equity in education, medicine, and culture.

Herb Club
Mission:
The Herb Club aims to provide support to the acupuncture curriculum by creating opportunities to supplement the course learning objectives and increase depth of understanding and knowledge of traditional herbal medicines.
San Diego RESOURCES
This practice offers a unique blend of wisdoms from yoga, Chinese medicine, qigong, and Taoist healing. Students will explore gentle, yet deep, meridian stretching motions that open energetic blocks within the internal organs and their channels. Each stretch movement accompanied by a specific healing sound, as well as mental intentions for emotional transformation.
